HST Championships

Since 1997, the DARC has been present with a team of competitors at all  international IARU HST (High Speed Telegraphy) championship events.

At those HST events, teams from all over the world compete in different categories; from classic reception and transmission of code groups, to modern, ham friendly competitions in RufzXP and MorseRunner.

On this site you'll find an archive of results from all HST events, plus photos and reports from the events.

You can also download the official HST rules here. The current version of the rules and a list of world records are also available directly from website of the the IARU Region 1 HST Working Group.

8th IARU Region 1 Championship - Montenegro

The 8th IARU Region 1 HST championship is currently held for the first time ever in Montengero, in the city of Bar. Check out the news from the team here.

 

11th IARU HST World Championship - Bulgaria

The 11th IARU World Championship was organized by the BFRA in Borovets, Bulgariahttp://www.hst2012.ch/. The German Team started in a new successful constellation with two new competitors.

 

10th IARU HST World Championship - Switzerland

The 10th IARU HST, again a World Championship, took place in Switzerland in October 2012. The German team was once again very successful with one Gold and four Bronze medals.

9th IARU HST World Championship - Bielefeld, Germany

The DARC was did not only organize the 9th IARU HST World Championship 2011, the DARC team also took part in it with great success. Fabian Kurz, DJ1YFK won a Gold medal in MorseRunner and a Silver medal in RufzXP, Heinrich Langkopf, DL2OBF won Bronze in receiving. 7th IARU Region 1 HST 2010

DARC gibt Team zur Schnelltelegrafiemeisterschaft bekannt

Fuer die IARU-Meisterschaften in der Region 1 in Schnelltelegrafie hat der DARC seine Mannschaft aufgestellt. Folgende Schnelltelegrafie-Sportler werden fuer Deutschland antreten und versuchen, an die Erfolge der Weltmeisterschaft 2009 anzuknuepfen: Damenhauptkategorie: Irina Stieber, DL8DYL, Maennerhauptkategorie: Fabian Kurz, DJ1YFK, und André Schoch, DL4UNY; Maenner AK40: Suad Zukic, DK6XZ, und Thomas Hitzner, DL2RMC; Maenner AK50: Reinhard Frenzel, DL1BUG, und Arno Polinsky, DL1CW. Ergaenzt wird die Delegation durch Mathias Kolpe, DL4MM, als International Referee und durch Teamleiter Heinrich Langkopf, DL2OBF. Letzterer vertritt den DARC auch in der HST Working-Group der IARU. Sie wird am Rande der Wettkaempfe zusammenkommen und ueber die Vergabe der Weltmeisterschaft 2011 entscheiden. Diese Entscheidung ist deshalb besonders spannend, weil sich der DARC offiziell beworben hat, die WM im Oktober 2011 in Bielefeld auszurichten. Das High Speed Telegraphy Championship, kurz HST, findet vom 5. bis 9. Oktober in Skierniewice, rund 70 km suedwestlich von Warschau in Polen statt.

DARC Team successful at HST 2009

From September 11th to 15th, the IARU World Championship in High Speed Telegraphy took place in Obzor, Bulgaria. The DARC team took part with a team of nine and gained two medals and the 6th place of 14 in the team competition. Full results, pictures and report are available here.
