DXNL 1734 - Jun 29, 2011 DX Newsletter a free and weekly service of DARC Committee "DX and HF contesting" (http://www.darcdxhf.de) editor: Helmut Schlaffer, DL7MAE (e-mail: dxnl@dxhf.darc.de) translation by: Bob, DL7VOA (e-mail: dl7voa@darc.de) EDITOR'S NOTE: -------------- I have been the editor of the DX Newsletter for the past four and a half years and this work has always made me a lot of fun. I had good conversa- tions with the readers and the feedback was mainly positive. Constructive criticism has been taken very seriously at all times and if possible I used it to improve the quality of the bulletin. Now, the time has come to focus on my other hobbies and to get back to my radio as well. However, I am still available occasionally as a vacation replacement. I want to say thank you to all readers for your support, all YLs, XYLs and OMs for sending me information and also to my colleagues Fredy,DE0MST, and Ric,DL2VFR, without their help no IOTA info would be available in the DXNL, and last not least also to Rob,DL7VOA, who has translated the bulletin into English and distributed both the German and English bulletins always very reliably. My successor will be OM Alexander Derichs, DG8KAD. Please support him with information just as you have supported me. Only then it is guaranteed that you can find the DX Newsletter on your station's table every week. I wish Alexander good luck with this time consuming work servicing the DX community worldwide.
